We look forward to seeing you at the TBS Roundtable 2007 Annual Meeting. The information below outlines the conference schedule and other pertinent information for attendees.

Meeting Start and End Time

Conference registration will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 13, 2007. A welcome luncheon at Noon will be followed by the first speaker at 1:30 PM. The conference will end at Noon on Friday, June 15, 2007.

Business BuildingThe Smeal College's new 210,000 square foot building is the largest academic facility at Penn State. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern—dean of the Yale School of Architecture—it is a signature building that welcomes all Penn State visitors to the eastern gateway of campus.

A Home for Smeal Students

This building is the "home away from home" for all of our students, and we have designed and built it with their comfort in mind.
Amenities for our students include:

  • State-of-the-art classrooms
  • Numerous laboratories for learning and research, including the Smeal Trading Room
  • Interview rooms for internships and permanent placement
  • Video-conferencing facilities for interviewing and research
  • Wireless internet access throughout the building

Designed for Research

This building is designed to foster lifelong connections and reinforce the strength of the Smeal community. All faculty departments, research centers, program offices, advisors, and staff are co-located. Faculty and staff, students, alumni and business visitors collaborate in the expansive spaces of the atrium, open stairwells, lounges, café, and outdoor plaza.

Old MainPenn State University is located in central Pennsylvania, within four hours of major metropolitan areas (NYC, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Baltimore), but with all the benefits of a small college town. Agenda

 

The agenda includes plenary speakers who are experts in their fields and will share the key challenges and opportunities in supporting business education and research by leveraging innovations in technology. Each speaker will be followed by two breakout sessions that are focused on specific sub topic areas. These discussions will be led by other subject matter experts. All speakers will be joining us at receptions and dinners to provide attendees the opportunity to interact with them throughout the conference.

In addition, IT vendors will be showcasing their new products/technologies in the atrium of the Business Building throughout the conference and will be presenting the capabilities of their company’s technologies in separate sessions.
